Landed cost: Taiwan vs. mainland China
A cheaper factory price isn't always the cheaper product. U.S. duty is charged on the factory (FOB) value, and the rate depends on where the goods are made. Enter each factory's quote to see the full cost delivered to a U.S. port.
Rates as of October 2026. Taiwan: base rate plus a 10% tariff. China: base rate, plus any Section 301 duty for the product's list, plus a 12.5% tariff. Toys (HTS 9503) are on a proposed relief list that is not yet final. U.S. tariffs change often, so confirm the HTS code and rate with a licensed customs broker before ordering.
Duty follows where the product is made. Goods made in mainland China and shipped through Taiwan are still Chinese-origin, and routing them that way to claim the lower rate is illegal transshipment.
Not included: U.S. inland trucking, destination port and broker charges, insurance, and FDA prior notice or testing costs. U.S. customs fees shown are the Merchandise Processing Fee (0.3464%, with a minimum and maximum per entry) and Harbor Maintenance Fee (0.125%).
